FIRST TEAM MANAGER Newly appointed manager who has made over 160 League appearances in his professional career for Gillingham, Maidstone, Aldershot, Leeds United and Doncaster. Born in Tunbridge Wells he was a strong reliable Goalkeeper who started his career as a trainee with Gillingham, where he made his first team debut at eighteen before moving to Maidstone United. He made nearly eighty appearances, including a loan spell with Aldershot, before Brighton bought him for £30,000 in March, 1991. Two years later he transferred to Leeds United for £350,000. Spent much of his time at Elland Road as understudy to John Lukic and Nigel Martyn before moving to Doncaster Rovers. With nearly two hundred first team appearances to his credit he joined Dover Athletic. Has a UEFA "B" coaching badge and is goalkeeping coach to Chelsea's under nineteen side. |
