It’s a Wrap
Isthmian Play off semi final. Sittingbourne 1 Three Bridges 2.
It’s been a memorable season. Sittingbourne finished 3rd which was their highest placing in the Division since they dropped down to it but in the end the Brickies failed at the penultimate hurdle to win promotion with a 1-0 at loss at home to Three Bridges. Bridges go on to play in Friday’s Play Off final at home to Chichester City who surprisingly defeated Ramsgate 1-0.
Sittingbourne edged the first half and took the lead through Chris Harris who had already hit a post, Bagasan Graham was the next to hit a post and a terrific tip over by Bridges keeper Jasper Sheik kept Bridges in the game. The second half though belonged to Bridges who scored a penalty and then Brannon O’Neil won a tussle with Bobby Mason to give them the lead. Sittingbourne fought hard for an equaliser in front of a Woodstock record crowd of 809 but in the end it wasn’t to be. Roll on next season.
